Product Description

OKAPI Detox Herbs are a pure herbal mixture, especially beneficial during coat change and for horses prone to lymphatic deposits. They are also helpful during times of increased stress, such as after sedation, deworming, or other medications. These herbs support the kidneys in their physiological function and are especially recommended during periods of increased strain on the kidneys.

In principle, OKAPI Detox Herbs are suitable for adult horses of all ages and breeds.

OKAPI Detox Herbs can be easily combined with other products. We recommend combining it with OKAPI Prodic and OKAPI Spirulina for further support.

Feeding recommendations

OKAPI Detox Herbs should not be given for longer than six to eight weeks at a time. After this period, a break of four to six weeks is recommended, or a switch to another herbal mixture. This approach also aligns with the horse’s natural feeding behaviour.

OKAPI Detox Herbs can be directly incorporated into the horse’s existing feed and can be added dry or moistened to the feed or sprinkled over the hay.

How do I calculate the correct dosage for my horse?

To calculate the appropriate dosage for OKAPI Detox Herbs, follow these steps:

1. Determine your horse’s weight: The horse’s weight can be measured using a scale, weight tape, or apps like the BCI App from our partner Sanoanimal, available for free on Google Play and Apple Store).

2. Follow the feeding recommendation: The general recommendation for OKAPI products is based on a 600 kg horse. The recommended daily amount is 30 g to 50 g (approximately one handful).

3. Adjust the dosage: If, for example, your horse weighs 300 kg, the dosage should be adjusted accordingly. The calculation would be: Daily dose (50 g) / 600 kg × Horse’s weight (300 kg) = Daily ration (25 g).

This calculation method allows you to determine the appropriate amount of OKAPI Detox Herbs for horses of varying weights.

- 500g sufficient for approximately 10–14 days
- 1,000g sufficient for approximately 3–6 weeks
- 3,000g sufficient for multiple horses
