Is OKAPI ColoRazza suitable for my horse?
OKAPI ColoRazza is suitable for all horses whose gut balance does not respond to a natural diet and typical colon restoration measures, or does not respond sufficiently.
Can I combine OKAPI ColoRazza with other products?
Yes, it is recommended to combine OKAPI ColoRazza with OKAPI Bitter Herbs and OKAPI ColoBalance. If needed, OKAPI Liquorice Extract can also be added.
How long should I feed OKAPI ColoRazza ?
OKAPI ColoRazza should not be administered for longer than one week due to its composition. It is recommended to always combine it with an equine-appropriate diet and other gut supporting measures.
How is OKAPI ColoRazza fed?
OKAPI ColoRazza can easily be integrated into the regular feeding routine. It mixes well with Haycobs, Sainfoin, or Vitalcobs. It can also be used in combination with other supplements such as OKAPI Bitter herbs, OKAPI ColoBalance, and, if necessary, OKAPI Liquorice Extract to provide comprehensive support for the large intestine.
How do I calculate the correct dosage for my horse?
To calculate the appropriate dose of OKAPI ColoRazza for your horse, follow these steps:
1. Determine your horse’s weight: The horse’s weight can be measured using a scale, weight tape, or apps like the BCI App from our partner Sanoanimal, available for free on Google Play and Apple Store).
2. Follow the feeding recommendation: The general dosage is 30 g per day, divided into three meals (10 g per meal).
3. Adjust the dosage: If your horse weighs 300 kg, the dosage should be adjusted accordingly. The calculation is as follows: 30 g/600 kg × 300 kg = 15 g per day (divided into three meals, i.e. 5 g per meal). For a 450 kg horse calculate the amount as follows: 30 g/600 kg × 450 kg = 22,5 g per day (divided into three meals, i.e. 7.5 g per meal)
3. Duration of use: OKAPI ColoRazza should not be fed for longer than one week due to its composition.
The dose can be adjusted depending on the individual needs of the horse and the severity of the dysbiosis. In persistent cases, the daily dose can be doubled. It is important to distribute the daily amount across three meals or at least administer it in the morning and evening.
