Your statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013

Your right

You have the right to cancel

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquires physical possession of the goods. Where your order consists of multiple goods delivered separately, the period expires 14 days after you receive the last item.

How to exercise your right to cancel: To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model cancellation form below, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

After cancellation

Effects of cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than:

  • 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied; or
  • (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods; or
  • if there were no goods supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

Returning the goods

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation of this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

We strongly recommend using a tracked delivery service for your return and keeping proof of postage. Please include a note with your name, order number and the reason for return.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions

When the right to cancel does not apply

Under Regulation 28 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the right to cancel does not apply to certain types of goods. The following exceptions are particularly relevant for our products:

Sealed goods unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons: Once the protective seal on a bucket, bag or bottle has been broken after delivery, the right to cancel is lost. This applies to all OKAPI feed, supplements and herbal products, as they are not suitable for return for health and hygiene reasons once the seal is broken.

The right to cancel also does not apply to:

  • Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised;
  • Goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
  • Goods which become inseparably mixed with other items after delivery.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in case of faulty, misdescribed or not-as-described goods are not affected by the above exceptions. If a product is faulty or not as described, please contact us immediately at info@okapi-shop.com.
